Planning Production Records

Menu Planning > Production Records > (production record) > (day)

The production record screen is used to plan the day's production. Production records should be planned at least two weeks in advance. Upon entering this window, the quantities will populate automatically if the menu plan day has been planned. Planned numbers will populate automatically based on production forecasting if criteria have been met.

  1. Notice the Menu Plan Name, Serving Session, Building, and Production Record Status.

  2. Copy Production Record - click to copy an existing production record day or dates and paste to a different day or dates.

    1. Copy From Date Range - select the date range to be copied

    2. Destination Production Record - select the production record where the copied date range is to be pasted

    3. Destination Start Date - select the starting date on which to paste the first day of the copied date range

    4. Cancel - click to return to the previous screen without copying the menu

    5. Save - click to paste the menu based on the selected parameters

  3. Click < > to scroll through weeks or click the Day MM/YY to jump to a different day within the same week. Notice the color code (below).
    Dark Gray - inactive menu day
    White - menu currently being edited
    Light Gray - active menu day

  4. Pencil Production Record - click to edit forecast rights and active status

    1. Include In Forecast - toggle to indicate whether this day should be used as part of the 3-day moving average production forecast

    2. Active - toggle active status to indicate whether this is an active production day

    3. Cancel - click to return to the previous screen without saving changes

    4. Save - click to save changes

  5. Active - notice active status

  6. Pencil Meal (x Meals Planned / y Reimbursable Meals Offered) - click to set the planned and offered meals for the day

    1. Name - choose a different meal if needed
      Note: B and C will be pre-populated based on production forecasting if criteria have been met

    2. Reimbursable Meals Planned - change reimbursable meals planned if needed

    3. Non-Reimbursable Meals Planned - change non-reimbursable meals planned if needed
      Note: D and E are typically not entered until after production

    4. Reimbursable Meals Offered - change reimbursable meals offered if needed

    5. Non-Reimbursable Meals Offered - change non-reimbursable meals offered if needed

    6. Offer Vs Serve - toggle OVS status (Checked - meal will be documented as offer vs. serve; Unchecked - meal will be documented as serve only)

    7. Exclude Shared Items - toggle shared items status (Checked - items from shared meals will not be included in the analysis of this meal; Unchecked - items from shared meals will be included in the analysis of this meal)

    8. Delete - click to delete meal

    9. Cancel - click to return to the previous screen without saving changes

    10. Save - click to save changes

  7. Identifier - notice the Recipe Identifier

  8. Name- notice the Recipe Name

  9. Reimbursable Planned - enter reimbursable planned servings for each item

  10. Non-Reimbursable Planned - enter non-reimbursable planned servings for each item

  11. Serving Size - notice the serving size for each item and change if needed

  12. Recipe Category (sum of planned servings) Student is offered X selections Pencil - click to edit number of selections offered to each student as part of the reimbursable meal.

  13. Trash Can - click to remove the item from the production record

  14. Double Arrow - click and drag to change the order of recipes within the recipe category

  15. Search Items - search for items or click the Magnifying Glass to add recipes and simple recipes to the production record

    1. Search - search for recipes and simple recipes

    2. Tags - filter by item tags

    3. Reset - click to reset filters

    4. Advanced - click to open additional filters

    5. Meal Components - filter by meal component(s)

    6. Search - click to search by advanced filters

    7. Identifier - click to sort by identifier

    8. Name - click to sort by name

    9. Item Tags - notice item tags

    10. Recipe Category - click to sort by recipe category

    11. (+) - click to add recipe to production record

    12. < > - click to scroll through pages

  16. (+) New Meal - click to add a new meal. See step 6 for details.
    Personnel and Water Offering (not pictured, North Carolina only) - check options to indicate compliance with NC requirements (Healthy Employees, Clean Employee Appearance, Proper Hand Washing, No Bare Hand Contact for RTE Food, Thermometers Checked and Calibrated If Needed, Water Available). Enter Corrective Action taken if needed (note: Corrective Action is disabled if all options are checked as completed).

  17. (+) Add New Note - click to add a permanent note

    1. Note - enter note text

    2. Cancel - click to return to the previous screen without saving changes

    3. Save - click to save changes

  18. Reset - click to clear the production record day and return to the production record calendar screen

  19. Close - click to close the production record day and return to the production record calendar screen

  20. Plan - click to Plan the production record and be redirected to the posting production records screen
